QPL Staff participated in the Zumbook 2016 held in front of Quezon Convention Center on November 20, 2016. Zumbook is a book drive organized by LAQueP-LInc and LIB.Com to help build community libraries in the province.

The NCCA National Committee on Library and Information Services, National Library of the Philippines and the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI) officially open the celebration of the 26th Library and Information Services Month (LIS) on November 4, 2016 at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel in Sta. Cruz, Manila. The theme for 2016 is "Library as a Place: Continual Learning in the New Information Landscape."
Part of the LIS Month Opening Ceremony is the awarding of 2016 Outstanding Public Libraries with Special Programs on Culture and Arts where Quezon Provincial Library and Museum bagged the First Place. Mrs. Ismaelinda S. Cabana, the Provincial Librarian received the plaque and the cash prize together with Mr. Webster Letargo and Mr. Bong Diaz, Executive Assistants of Gov. David C. Suarez. The other winners were Angeles City Library and Information Center (2nd Place), Quezon City Public Library and Information Center (3rd Place) and Antipolo City Library (Community Service Award). Quezon Provincial Library and Museum was adjudged Outstanding Provincial Library of the Philippines in 2012 receiving P12,000.00 worth of cash prize and a plaque and was among the top 5 in the 2013 Search for Outstanding Children's Services in the NLP Affiliated Public Libraries. It was through the collaborative effort of the librarians and staff of Quezon Provincial Library and Gintong Yaman Museum that it continue to receive awards and recognitions in the field of public librarianship.
